Once again, I’m BLOWN AWAY at the amount of volunteers who showed up today to clean and stuff John & Romans for distribution. People began to arrive at 7a and have been working hard all day!! God is doing something with His church here in Worcester! Folks are on fire! -Pastor Kris Casey
We finished up the work on the foundation today! I’m stunned! Our foreman is stunned! Everyone who came out to work put everything they had into it. Amen!! Now it’s time for clean up & getting things put back for church on Wednesday. If you’re willing to come out for this phase of our restoration we could really use the help! Tues: now until 5pm Wed: beginning at 9am
“Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel. And next unto him builded the men of Jericho. And next to them builded Zaccur the son of Imri. But the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build, who also laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the locks thereof, and the bars thereof. And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Uriah, the son of Koz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabeel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baanah.” Nehemiah 3:1-4 Side by side, unified in spirit.... what an awesome day! #buildthewall
“Therefore set I in the lower places behind the wall, and on the higher places, I even set the people after their families with their swords, their spears, and their bows.” Nehemiah 4:13 My P31 wife (and personal body guard) packing heat as she works on the wall with our children.
“And next unto him repaired Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.” Nehemiah 3:12 Jason & his daughter, AnnaJean (age 4), working on their section of the wall.
444 days ago, during a deep winter freeze that brought much of New England -30* temperatures, seventeen pipes burst throughout our building. This caused a major flood in the lower level of our building, destroying all of our children’s classrooms. Heartbreaking doesn’t describe the emotions we felt that day. However, it was during the cleanup that we discovered even more damage....20-50 year old water damage hidden behind several layers of wall. Had we not flooded that cold winter day, we would never have known the severe breach in our 130 year old foundation walls. Praise the Lord for busted pipes!!! Here we are.... 444 days later; A fresh perspective, a renewed mind, a strong faith, a zealous commitment to our Lord and Savior, and a determination to rebuild our walls.... TOGETHER. Here are some pics of the first crew, who arrived at 7:30 this morning, work clothes on, trowels in hand! Husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, children... SO EXCITED at what GOD is doing here!! “So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work.” Nehemiah 4:6
Awesome Sunday today!! My wife & I had the pleasure of hosting our Sunday School teachers & their families for Sunday dinner today at our home. We had 20 in all around our family table. I love that our church truly is an extension of our family. Nate, a teenager who was invited tonight by another one of our teenagers, asked Jesus Christ to be his Savior! Serving God is so awesome! #wegettodothis
UPDATE: Carol just got out of surgery. Everything was successful! Thank you for your prayers! ****************************************** Please keep our neighbor, Carol, in prayer. She fell and shattered the bones in her arm. She’s headed into an eight hour surgery tomorrow to repair it.

What an amazing week we’ve had here in Worcester! Back to back Sunday snow storms has been hard. We never like to cancel services, but the safety of our members and guests is very important to us. Despite having last Sunday night & this morning’s services canceled because of snow, we saw four people come to know Christ! Two of our young girls, Kinley & Aaliyah, made a pact last Sunday to each hand out a stack of Gospel tracts this week (a stack contains 21 booklets). Both girls fulfilled their promise to each other! They sowed seeds all over our city, and the harvest was plenteous! Kay, a sweet lady, who’s battling cancer and near the end of her life, gloriously trusted in Jesus Christ to be her Savior! Please keep her in prayer, that God will give her grace during this time. A man who was walking by the church stopped to ask what the difference was between being a Protestant and a Baptist. Just a few moments later he was presented with the Gospel, which he’d never heard before. He bowed his head and asked Christ to be his Savior. At the close of tonight’s service, during the invitation, Brayden, a teen, raised his hand for salvation! Pray for him as he begins his new life in Christ! Souls are HUNGRY for the Word of God! Share the Gospel with someone in your town or city this week! -Pastor Kris Casey
We are still having our evening service at 6pm.

What a wonderful day we had with the Thren family. Powerful preaching, great singing, and sweet fellowship! Video cred: Kaidyn Casey
We NEED a youth pastor here in the inner city. What you see in this video are kids. Really good kids! This is our next generation. We will lose them to gangs, drugs, alcohol, the streets, etc... if we don’t win them over to the love of Christ. #churchyouthministry #slamdunk #ourfuture #lovethesekids
We are counting our blessings today! “The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” Psalms 126:3 Feel free to tag yourself & share this video.
UPDATE ON THE CHURCH FLOODING: Things keep going from bad to worse. Praise God anyway!! We had to take down all the exterior walls of our lower level down to just the studs. This revealed the foundation of our building (our church was built in two parts. The original building was picked up and moved to the foundation it sits on now). When our foundation was revealed, we found many problems, the most severe is that it is literally crumbling away. Rain water/melting snow continues to flow into the building through the cracks. Before anything can be done, we need to put in a drainage system and then seal the entire foundation. This repair work is very costly. This is NOT COVERED under insurance. Rather than throw our hands in the air and walk away, I’ve seen our people come together, working together to get the job done. They don’t see our building in disarray....they see classrooms that their children and grandchildren, and children from all over our city will sit in to receive Christian school education and hear God’s Word in Sunday school. We are a small inner city church trying desperately to shine God’s light in the city of Worcester. Adams Square Baptist Church has been proclaiming God’s Word and his precious free gift of salvation to this city for over 129 years! Worcester is home to more than 200,000 people, many of whom do not know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Please pray with us, give if you can, but help us continue to share the Gospel in our city! Pray the Lord brings people like this: “And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work. Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.” Exodus 35:31, 33, 35 Thank you for all the encouraging messages you all have sent our way. It means more than you know! -Pastor Kris Casey
Praise God for a wonderful day in church yesterday! We celebrated 129 years of proclaiming God's Word in the city of Worcester. It was also the 5th Anniversary of Pastor Casey being voted in as our pastor. At the close of the service the altar was full. One visitor accepted Christ as her Savior. Another woman came forward for Scriptural baptism. Several more came forward to request membership. Oh yes, several months ago, there was a tent in the center of town where we had a five-week revival. Today, that spirit of revival continues on in our hearts! Praise God for what He is doing here! All glory to Him!
Pastor Douglass Meader, your talents never cease to amaze us! Your heart to serve your Savior amazes us even more. Thank you!
There's a tent in the center of town And the people are losing their frowns Cause they think they'll go there and see lions and bears In the tent in the center of town But it's all about the winning of souls Say the signs on the telephone poles They say if you are blue Jesus is calling you To the tent in the center of town The preacher is preaching his best And he barely takes time for a breath Their hearts are complete in the bearable heat In the tent in the center of town And the gentlemen give up their seats To the women who've been on their feet Cause it's standing room only when the Holy of Holies Blesses the center of town There's a tent in the center of town Where the people can gather around Who wouldn't step foot in a church But who aren't afraid of a good news crusade In the tent in the center of town They say they're drawn in by the stripes on the awning And the beautiful music inside But they're drawn by the Spirit that's pouring down On the tent in the center of town And revival hits like a wave And hundreds are joyously saved And the thief and adulterer lay it all on the altar Cause there's grace in the center of town The time has come to move on To the next hurting throng And they hope as they tear it apart The tent will live on in their hearts I once was lost, but now I'm found Because of a tent in the center of town
